7 years ago…today I’d give a different talk, even more poetic, more heARTful. the fundamental question would be what if we evoke the #poetry within each and everyone what #businesses would we create? from the ancient Greek word for poetry, poiesis, meaning “the act of creation or making,” What is fascinating to me is that the term poiesis is also used in #biology, in the word hematopoiesis, which is the formation of blood cells. We could say we carry poetry in our blood. Poetry has always been the vital oxygen, the lymph, the blood I carried in me, as a #scientist, as an #executive, as an #artist...so let me ask you: How poetic is your existence? How poetic is your work? How poetic are you? I invite you to cultivate your poiesis. I invite you to live a poetic existence.
