The City of East Peoria Fire Department is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant to handle the semi-monthly payroll and all related functions of payroll processing, monitoring and recording benefit hours. In addition, this position will perform a wide range of clerical and administrative work in the organization of office operations, routing phone calls, preparing documents, filing, typing and coordinating activities as assigned by the department. Must have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, along with good mathematical skills. Payroll experience is desired. Must have proficiency with MS Office. Residency within twenty-five (25) miles of City’s corporate limits. A physical and drug screening required. Hourly rate for this position is $23.40 per hour. Hiring challenges continue to ease Recruitment became somewhat easier in March, according to the latest data from Jobs & Skills Australia. In March, 46% of employers recruiting workers experienced recruitment difficulty. This was down 4 percentage points from the previous month. Small businesses with five to 19 employees had more difficulty with 55% of respondents reporting challenges in recruiting, compared to 38% of larger businesses. Last year, recruitment difficulty trended mostly downwards so this decrease continues the trend. Recruitment difficulty peaked in July 2022 at 75%. #accountant #bookkeeping #business

It's just not good enough!! 😠 Yesterday, I spoke to a lady who is coming to the end of her temporary contract in Blackpool, she is a Finance Administrator and is looking for another assignment. She has been with her current agency 9 months. In that time, she has received a very poor service: ❌ Consultant is never available, doesn't reply to calls/emails or he is always on 'annual leave' ❌ Holiday pay is unclear and they never tell her how much she accrued ❌ Payments have been missed due to payroll not being run on time... These were just a few of the issues she highlighted. As a consultant who loves temporary recruitment, I am always on hand to answer any emails/ calls that I receive and I'll always be upfront with my contractors. In the 4 years I've been running Jive, I've never missed a payment! Many of my contractors move on to permanent contracts from their hard work and dedication.
