With recent and historical global events going on and conversations that it's creating and conflict that it's creating within the walls of our organization, we need to figure out as communicators how to be community-based in our inclusive communications and transcending choosing sides. How do we honor and protect the human dignity that is represented within our workforce or other external constituents? This is something you can gut-check your communications before you put something out and say, "where are there power dynamics that don't need to be there? Where is there bias or a reinforcement of current status quo that doesn't need to be there? How accurate am I in the terms? Is this really what's going on or am I just going off with what somebody else is saying it is? And am I informed by the impacted communities? By people who are representative of the impacted communities?" They have to have a voice in how an organization responds, even if it's just internal, to a social situation, a social issue that's going on.
