She loves being part of a team that creates jobs and changes lives. Hi, we got the new sign up. New sign up. Yeah. My name is Janay E Conley and I am an Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Fresno. On a day-to-day, we are working one-on-one with a lot of our business owners or those that are looking to start businesses. We are walking projects from. Sometimes it's absolutely from the very beginning through the whole process of getting their doors open and a ribbon cutting. Sometimes it can be very daunting. A lot of business owners come to us. They may have a special niche. But I don't know, maybe a cash management. So we're connecting them to resources to help them learn those skill sets as well. You know, they're asking questions, sometimes they can't give those direct answers. But what I can say is that we're on a journey and I can assure you, you're not on that journey by yourself. We're not only helping the businesses, we're out there also attracting businesses. We're out there selling the city of Fresno. I am just one of our wonderful team and we have all various backgrounds and skill sets. It is about relationship, it is about connection. And at the heart of it, people do business with people they trust. And so that's what we have here. We have trusted experts that have been in various fields. And they're like, hey, go see Joshua. Hey, go see Alicia. Go see Janae. I'm so excited by the work that we do that I get to do every day. I get to see lives change. I get to see businesses open their doors, create jobs. I get to see them build generational wealth. I get to see cycles of poverty be broken. I get to see streets be clean, buildings go out be revitalized. I get to see joy. I get to see people who have longed to have an opportunity. To have something grand in their life, I get to see that happen and it unfolds right in front of me every day. It is a complete gift to be able to do this work for me. It is very enriching. That's what motivates me to do it every single day.
