All this snow in the DMV may be beautiful to look at, but it can be dangerous, especially for the elderly. Please check on your relatives to make sure they have survived the storm and aren't in need of anything. Do they have power, food, and water? If you have an elderly neighbor, consider shoveling their sidewalk and driveway and laying down some Epsom salts, kitty litter, or coffee grinds for traction in the event they need to go out.
