Congratulations Rachel McLellan for the honor of Hiver of the Quarter in Q3! Rachel helps lead the everyday operations of our labor management division, Lime I&D. Her experience and attention to detail, making sure nothing is missed in the install and dismantle process for our clients exhibits, is second-to-none. We’re thankful everyday that Rachel is here looking after Lime’s labor operations. Thank you Rachel for all you do to help keep Lime and BlueHive going strong! Q: How long have you worked at BlueHive? A: 3 years Q: What is your position / title? A: Director of Labor Operations for LIME I&D Q: Do you have a nickname? A: RachieKia – my neighbor gave me the nickname after I bought my first car in high school (a Kia Optima) and it stuck. Q: How did you get started working in the industry? A: I had completed my degree in Elementary Education but wanted to go a different route than teaching. Seattle went to bed yesterday evening awash with purple, celebrating the epic win by our UW Huskies last night! They showed us exactly what "Bending Not Breaking" means, both on the gridiron and in the business world. Just like in any tough campaign, the Huskies faced adversity: last minute injuries stopping the clock, late penalties, and a focused opponent. But instead of crumbling, they adapted, adjusted, and made an incredible play with :01 on the clock. They bent, but they never broke. This is a crucial lesson for us all: Embrace the unexpected: Not every plan goes perfectly, and that's okay. Be flexible and adapt to challenges. Stay relentless: Even when things get tough, keep pushing forward. Persistence always pays off. Work together: Teamwork makes the dream work, on the field and in the office. Celebrate wins and support each other through setbacks. Believe in yourself: The Huskies knew they had it in them, and so do you. Confidence is key to achieving your goals. So, let's channel the Husky spirit this week! Let's bend the challenges thrown our way and dominate our professional goals. Go Dawgs!

I witnessed something inspiring yesterday. Three men, already having worked hours of hard physical labor to remove appliances from a closed business, was called unexpectantly to come to my store. To remove an existing freezer and deliver another similar thousand pound, three door glass freezer in a hundred degree heat under the high sun at 2 o'clock pm. I expected low patience, physical exhaustion, and yes, a bit of attitude. This was their second time needing to come out to my store in the same week. What I saw, was the opposite of what I expected. These men were laughing, joking with eachother, and simply... having fun. They were also polite, professional, and it felt like they weren't working at all. It felt like they wanted to be there. I have had 9 different jobs in the past 12 years of my adult working life. Some in different departments, and some, even in different industries. I am learning that it isn't even mostly about what you do. Your tasks or responsibilities. It is 80% about the people you are surrounded by. Who you work with, and who you work for. If you are satisfied with who you are surrounded by, you will find joy in what you do. So on hard days, take a look to your right. To your left. And most importantly, take a look at who is directly ahead.

I just returned home this weekend from a big regional area meet in Pensacola and saw this. Wanted to share it as this is the beauty of cross country and how it would apply if we used that same spirit in our work and personal lives. These are not my words but as a 7+ year cross country mom, they very well could be. —- What if we lived life like we were all in a cross country meet? What if we watched other people and recognized that we're all just trying to get across the finish line? What if we understood that some people are running as hard as they can but battling illnesses, invisible injuries, and internal struggles? Every step is hard, but they're trying not to quit. What if we cheered for everyone even if they weren't on our team? What if we realized just finishing something, no matter how long it took us or how messy it seemed, was enough? In fact, it was a win. What if we used every race as an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and how we could use each other for support, inspiration, and help to reach our goals? What if we cheered loud for the winner, but even louder for the one who comes in after because they accomplished something great, too? In a world that tells us it's about me, me, me, what if we started living to support everyone brave enough to be in the race? What if we started treating our lives like we were all in the same cross country meet? What a beautiful world that would be. Love hard. Whitney Fleming Writes

Everyone remembered the Nilla Wafers and taco nights. Had the honor of attending a celebration of life for a 99- and 103-year-old couple who passed within a year of one another. As I didn’t know the couple well, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the service or to be as deeply moved as I was by the stories that were shared. I was struck by how much of my time I spend thinking about things that won’t make much of a difference in the impact I make during my short time here. As I think about the legacy I leave, I will look to Marg and Lloyd for the example they set. My takeaways: • What their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren remembered most was their love, the way they lived their lives, and how they treated others. • Memories were mostly about quality time spent with family (often over tacos and Nilla wafers). Traditions matter. • What they said mattered much less than what they did. How does this relate to my approach to work and life? • The relationships I build along the way are worth far more than the title or the paycheck. • The traditions we create don’t have to be Instaworthy, they just have to be real. • The moments matter. Between coworkers, friends and families. Take the time, make the connections. Everyone wins.

5 BIG THINGS I learned this week (beach edition): (1) It's hard to beat the sunrise service overlooking Mobile Bay on Easter Sunday. (2) Crocs are the most versatile part of any beach wardrobe. After dinner one night, I was at the valet stand waiting on my car. A guy came up to me and said, "I'd never have the guts to wear Crocs to a restaurant like this." C'mon man. Live a little. I love my chocolate brown Crocs -- comfort, whether you are dressing up or dressing down 😎 (3) Hammocks are amazing 😊 Swinging in the wind, reading a good book. (4) My book of choice this week is President Garfield: from Radical to Unifier by C.W. Goodyear. I've listened to about half of it on Audible. Many echoes for today from the political environment of that time. Many insights to draw, mistakes to avoid, and lessons to learn. (5) And lastly, why would anyone plan to end a vacation on Thursday so they can be in the office all day on Friday? Poor decision making on my part. Never again 😏 Onward to another great week. Better understanding. Better decisions. That's KS&R! BONUS: Here's my view from the hammock 👇

T.S. Eliot famously coined April the "cruelest month." Although his April takes a dark turn into a new cycle of sadness and lament, it evokes the imagery of spring's promise of life and the birth of possibility. As April approaches, so does my new journey into the unknown. It signals: ▶ My return from maternity leave to an unprecedented job market filled with mass layoffs, strikes, and the wide adoption of AI tools ▶ My return to a job market where thousands of qualified marketers are vying for the same opportunity ▶ A time of tension and unease ▶ A reminder to focus on my belief in a higher order and that there are no mistakes ▶ Gratitude for the opportunity to take six months off to bond with my third and last child ▶ The grace to focus on my mental and physical health and the gift of time with my family and friends ▶ The space to network with individuals and grow my tribe of like-minded and remarkable creatives ▶ The opportunity to lean into my professional, personal, and spiritual values I look forward to the next opportunity and excited to see where I'll land in April and beyond. If you see a job that might remind you of me, send it my way! Not sure who I am? Here's a little infographic that might help.
