Business communicator, relationship builder, presales enabler, advisor, educator, and speaker. | Digital | Small Biz | Public Sector | Non-Profit |
I’m sharing this for 2 reasons: firstly, because it’s a great job opportunity, and secondly because it’s probably the best format for a job description and job listing I’ve ever seen! There are so many great elements: - why it might and might not be a good fit for you. - what a typical week in the role looks like. - clear remuneration and progression criteria. - visually engaging so that it’s not just a giant wall of text. Well done Helen Tupper and team. I hope many other employers take note.

Senior Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Professional, skilled in Direct Sourcing and Candidate Attraction. Strong Functional Knowledge, across Professional & Financial Services, As well as Consumer, Retail, FMCG & Media
Nice post Joe Vines (He/Him), hope you're well. You make a good point, with the key word being 'expectations'. If one can't match those expectations, then at least be honest about it and don't promise/pretend, that there will be L&D, when there isn't. At that point, one loses trust, which is fatal. In an industry that's all too often focused on the 'short-term' over the 'long-term', L&D can be a key differentiator, between good firms and bad ones, as it shows a commitment to (and an investment in) developing people for the longer-term.
Learning and Development (L&D) Candidates aren't just looking for a job—they're seeking opportunities for growth and development. Let's match their aspirations with learning and development programs that truly make a difference. #LearningAndDevelopment #CareerGrowth #EmployeeEngagement

Gen Z workers can be reached with an elearning platform that provides insight, understanding, connection, and that can serve as a playbook for their career. For public sector entities, the key to building this kind of platform successfully is to work with a service provider that has expertise both in designing effective custom learning environments and that already holds the certifications necessary to fulfill regulatory requirements. #Hiring #Recruitment #HumanResources

Innovative Instructional Designer | Expert in Curriculum Development & eLearning Solutions | M.S. Instructional Design
Recruiters and hiring managers, while I am very grateful for and appreciate any time given to me to discuss a position that I might be a good fit for, please don't suggest that I return to the classroom. Teachers have invaluable expertise in many different areas, that translate perfectly to corporate learning and development skills, such as stakeholder collaboration, user engagement, needs assessments, Storyboards, continual communication, project management, and so much more! We know how to address diverse learners and create 508 compliance content. Many of us are very familiar with distance learning and blended/hybrid courses because we did it ALL during the pandemic. We can navigate hostile workplaces because we deal with angry parents, admins, and certainly hostile students on a regular basis. We can easily diffuse workplace disagreements. What are some more skills that teachers can bring to the table?

Lately, I’ve been chatting with parents of recent graduates and school-to-work leavers who are feeling a bit nervous about helping their young person through those first few months on the job. The transition from a learning environment to the workforce is a big one. While the first-day onboarding email might cover a lot, there’s one thing it likely won’t mention: being fully present in conversations is an absolute game changer. Why it’s a big deal: -It builds genuine trust, not just surface-level small talk. -They'll pick up on info others might overlook or have access to. -They’ll stand out as someone with next-level maturity. -Meaningful convos = real connections = real opportunities.
