CP Hire Ltd to replace entire fleet
Northern-Ireland based rental company CP Hire is to replace its entire fleet to enable a full upgrade across its UK operations.
CP Hire said the upgrade to its plant stock is the next stage in its development and will see new machinery added across all depots in Northern Ireland, Bristol, Swansea and Cardiff, as well as a new fleet of service vehicles.
The Newbury-headquartered company will hold a stock rotation sale managed by Euro Auctions, with more than 400 machines set to go on sale in Hallen, UK, on 29 February and 1 March.
The inventory includes 147 excavators which range from minis to more than 20 tonnes, 55 rollers, 152 tracked dumpers and eight telehandlers in the 6m to 14m range.
Over the next six months, the remainder of its fleet will be sold and replaced with new equipment, IRN was told.
David Hutchinson, director, CP Hire, said, “The management team in Northern Ireland will have an active role to play on the ground, as we build on our England / Wales presence along the M4 corridor, helping to assist our existing and well-established team in those depots.
“It will take a couple of months to implement the service plan and fine-tune the systems, but we are very confident we can be consistent with our fleet quality and (due to geographical areas) keep to our 2-hour breakdown service goal.”
David Betts of Euro Auctions, added, “This is a very tidy inventory of fresh, well-maintained machines. CP Hire does take very good care of their fleet, and a regular rotation is commonplace. Whilst this sale will draw a good crowd in the local area, the Euro Auctions strength is reaching out to an international audience. We expect good bidding on multiple machines, such is the quality.”
