Distributed Generation and Energy Resources for carbon free, reliable, and resilient energy infrastructure. Advisor for TheRay.org. #BYOP #Strategy #Innovation #Solutions #Transformation #EPC #DER
Great overview by Jeff Berardelli. It no surprise it going to be a busy hurricane season in 2024. Utilities are experts at getting safe and reliable power up and running after a storm but here is the reality: - Hurricane and wildfire seasons are starting to overlap which impacts resources available for response, rescue, and recovery. - Storms are becoming more frequent - There is less time between storms - The hurricanes are stronger and increasing in strength Companies need to replace their old nasty T2 generators to cleaner, more efficient, utility friendly T4 Final gensets. If you are a large C&I customer, start exploring advanced #microgrids, utility incentives and federal grants. Now is the time to make this strategic decision as supply chain is backlogged and equipment can take 48 weeks - 2 years to get to the job site.
Hurricane season is only a month away and by all accounts it looks like a hyperactive one. Record warm Atlantic, La Nina in the Pacific and seasonal models that show a storm track towards the Caribbean. If you live in Hurricane Alley it's a good reminder to have a hurricane plan and discuss it with your family. https://lnkd.in/eayUq64z

Great report about property insurance market condition, particularly in Louisiana. I do have one question regarding severe congestive storms: is there any positioning to have these events qualify larger percentage deductibles, as we have for named/tropical storms?
Sharing a "State of the Property Market" report I recently drafted for our clients, prospects and team members. While there are some signs of improvement, it appears that it will take another year before we start to see meaningful improvement in rates and availability. Let's all hope for another quiet hurricane season in the Atlantic in 2024!
