The deadline to apply for a grant from FEMA or a Small Business Administrator disaster loan is Thursday, Oct. 10. To apply with FEMA, visit DisasterAssistance.gov; use the FEMA mobile app; call the Disaster Assistance Helpline at 800-621-3362; or notify FEMA staff at a Disaster Recovery Center. FEMA funding that duplicates what your insurance settlement covers must be repaid. FEMA assistance is not taxed and will not affect Social Security, Medicaid or other federal benefits. Last week, members of our Incident Management Team participated in the O-305: All-Hazards Incident Management Team course, which included three disaster simulations—one of them specifically tailored to Pearland. We have now trained over 70 staff members, and we were thrilled to have Pearland ISD join us this time. This training strengthens our emergency response and builds vital cross-departmental relationships, ensuring we're ready when it matters most. Thank you to all participants and their departments for supporting our City’s emergency preparedness mission. Together, we’re stronger!

Once a month, employees are honored for reaching their 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year mark. During the ceremony, supervisors and colleagues praise and commend all the achievements celebrants have accomplished during their time at the City of Pearland!
