The Planning and Zoning Commission is an advisory Board to the City Council on land use matters, while acting as final decision-maker on matters relating to subdivision plat approval. Warrant article … warrant what? Many towns are currently finalizing warrant articles for their annual Town Meetings. A warrant article is an item to be voted on at this legislative event, such as zoning amendments, municipal budget appropriations, etc. Warrant articles are drafted and submitted by the governing body (i.e. Selectmen), Planning Board, or by petition. Since town meeting happens only once a year, these warrant articles are a big deal to land use planners!
