Industrial Plumbers... Love them or hate them, there will come a time you will need a plumber for your industrial plant. You may have a plumber on your payroll to take care of about 90 percent of all issues, but the 10 % cost could equal or exceed what you would pay in an annual salary. Given the age of most infrastructures over 20-40 years old, what is lurking in walls, ceilings, and flooring go unnoticed until its too late. Independent plumbers have the equipment and resources to get in fast, make complex repairs and get out. The key is finding the right plumber. Do your home work. Look for vendors with good to great reviews, offer 24 hour service, and will drop what they are doing to take on your job. This level of service does not come cheap, you will pay for it. Balance the decision based on your revenue per day/hour. Example, at 1 Million a day, the decision may be easy but others will vary.

Plumbers are the third most in-demand tradespeople in the UK - https://bit.ly/4bZXHpP. New data analysis has shown that builders, electricians, and plumbers are the three most in-demand types of tradespeople in the UK, with over 65,000 open vacancies on popular job sites - (Credit: HVP Magazine). We are deeply committed to narrowing this gap and aiding the armed forces community in transitioning to rewarding careers in construction. Our programmes provide members of the military community with the chance to develop entry-level skills and knowledge, while introducing them to the career opportunities available across the construction sector. By doing so, we aim to both address the skills shortage and combat veteran unemployment. What Kind of Plumber Makes the Most Money? 🔥🔥🔥 👉 Master Plumbers: Those with extensive experience and training, often holding a master plumber license, command higher salaries. 👉 Licensed Plumbers: Holding relevant licenses boosts earning potential as it reflects expertise and compliance with industry standards. 👉 Specialized Plumbers: Those specializing in niche areas like medical gas installation or hydronics can earn more due to their specialized skills. 👉 Union Plumbers: Membership in a plumbers' union can lead to better pay rates and benefits, as unions negotiate on behalf of their members. 👉 Commercial Plumbers: Working on large-scale projects for businesses and industrial facilities tends to offer higher pay compared to residential work. 👉 Service and Emergency Plumbers: Responding to urgent plumbing issues, especially during non-business hours, can result in higher hourly rates. 👉 Plumbing Contractors: Those who own their plumbing businesses may earn more by managing projects and employing other plumbers. 👉 Geographic Location: Plumbers in areas with high living costs or strong demand for skilled trades may command higher wages. 👉 Education and Certifications: Plumbers with additional certifications or ongoing education in new technologies may see increased earning potential. 👉 Green Plumbers: With a focus on environmentally friendly plumbing solutions, these professionals may find increased demand and potentially higher incomes. Do you respond to everyone who "applies"? Let's say you post on Facebook that you're looking for a plumber to fix a leak in your house. 10 different plumbers all message you saying they're available and can do this job for you. Do you reply to all 10 plumbers or just the 2 or 3 that you like the look of and seem most suitable? Do you "ghost" the other plumbers? This isn't me saying that candidates who apply for jobs shouldn't get a reply or acknowledgement, they totally should. But it did get me wondering where the expectation of a reply came from. What do we think? #recruitment #recruiting #talentacquisition #jobsearch

So I’ve been speaking to lots of clients again this week and there’s a reoccurring theme of having bad experiences with agencies and their site labour which is deterring them from going down that route again. 🙄 After doing some digging it all stems from the consultant not listening to their client - they’ve just heard the work “joiner” and sent the first one they came across in some instances. 🤦🏻 It’s the equivalent of going to a bar for a pint and being served a bottle of milk - “it’s still a pint 🤷🏼♂️” It’s part of the reason why we get a bad rep in the industry. Contrary to popular belief, there are actually decent tradesmen out there who simply choose to work on a contract basis because it suits them, not out of necessity - just a case of them not being sent to your sites! After being in customer service based roles for the last 19 years (which is longer than some recruiters have been alive!), I can safely say that’s not the case with me. 👍🏼 If you need site labour with a specific background, set of skills or certain qualification feel free to get in touch 📞 I’m listening…. #fitout #shopfitting #commercialinteriors #projectsupport #tradesmen

I just read a post on here about the severe shortage of plumbers in the U.S. going into the next decade. It's not just plumbers but engineers, teachers, electricians, nurses, and just about any other critical job you can think of. I write about immigration all the time, but we must also put more effort into maximizing the workforce we already have here. That means more outreach/training programs in our schools, especially in underserved communities, and figuring out how our current job market discourages those who might otherwise be interested in one of these fields. Don't let the slow job market fool you. The negative effects of this are just starting. It's important we begin dealing with it now. #mytwocents #jobmarket
