My favorite dish: tacos de pato 🌮 🦆 Tacos de canasta de pato 🦆 con mucha salsa muy picosa 🌶️ First impression? Salón Ríos combines new touches with traditional cantina culture. The space is decorated with a printed plant wallpaper, brass accents, and a layered shelving unit to hold all of the bar's liquor. Cool. So who’s there? Upscale families out to lunch, office workers settling in for a few rounds, couples eating lunch, solo diners at the bar drinking short beers. How are the drinks? In the cantina tradition, most drinks here are straight shots poured over ice and served with mixers on the side. The bartenders can make a decent martini and there are a couple of beers on tap. There's a small selection of house cocktails as well. Worth ordering something to eat, too? Classic Mexican dishes like tacos, enchiladas, and carnitas get an upscale twist, like the savory duck carnitas in tender tacos de canasta. Did the staff do you right? Amiable and ready to serve.
