800 people. It seems like a pretty big number until you look at other statistics. Grand Central station sees over 75,000 people a day. The various Walt Disney World properties see an average of 250,000 people a day. Compared to these numbers, 800 might not seem like much. But for 800 people today, that number seems incredibly vast. For a few minutes today, about 5 to be exact, 800 people listened as they were told there was no longer a place for them. This kicked off an entire range of emotions. Anxiety, sadness, anger, determination. All in the span of a few minutes. I know because I was one of the 800. An incredible group of people that also includes top sales performers, incredible sales managers and directors, onboarding, technical and operations personnel, an entire world class training department and many others. 800 incredible individuals who were blindsided. To each one of you, I pray that you feel proud of what you were able to accomplish in your time at Vacasa. I hope that you feel invigorated and ready to tackle new challenges. But I know that for many you first have to tackle the grief, anger and anxiety. Keep your head up. You deserve more than this, and you will soon find that the best is ahead of you. I truly believe that. I look forward to seeing how all 800 of us fight back from this. Tomorrow starts day 1. So let’s go get it! #opentowork

If you’re doing the hiring, the better you know your team, the easier it will be for you to hire people who will complement the team. How do you know your team members, by listening to their stories. If you’re looking for a job, the clearer you are of your personal power and your power story, the more easily you can ask questions about the team for which you’re applying. So how are you building an enthusiastic team?
