Are selected 'teach-out colleges financially sound? Case study: The closure of Fontbonne University. As I watch college closures unfold, I have started checking on the financial health and viability of the colleges that are selected or recommended by the closing college. In this case, Fontbonne University (MO)selected 9 other colleges. One was in Michigan - go figure. Of the 9 colleges we review in this case study using the 2024 Private College Viability App, I consider as many as 6 of the 9 to be financially challenged.
