The city has an inventory of houses that have been dilapidated over the years that in normal cases would be assigned for demolition. Rather than demolish all of those homes, we thought it sure would be great if rather than starting from scratch and then potentially having, you know, more vacant lots in neighborhoods where, you know, that's really not something that people want to see. Are there homes that we can save? Are there homes that we can renovate, get those back on the tax rolls? Quickly, But then in addition to that, can we work with a diverse group of developers to build up their skill set and then have those developers work with a diverse group of contractors to make them more capable as well, you know, to build up their capabilities to become more home builders in the city of Milwaukee and home renovators down the road.
