In November, the City of Canning launched a brand-new service for residents seeking to give their quality pre-loved items a new home. In a West Australian local government first, the City of Canning partnered with Good Sammy Enterprises, a much-loved local charity, to offer residents an on-demand donation collection service for a trial period of 12 months. This innovative partnership will help promote the benefits of a circular economy and will make donating good quality items even easier for residents, while reducing waste and creating job opportunities for Western Australians with disabilities. Did you know Australians gave $13 billion to charities in 2021 and 6 million of us volunteered in 2022? Incredible, right? But as we step into 2025, the need for community support is greater than ever. At the Frank Montagnese Foundation, we make sure every dollar truly counts by working with not-for-profits that deliver life-changing results—like helping over 50 people rebuild their lives with shelter and job training. Philanthropy isn’t just about money—it’s about connection, care, and creating a brighter future. Together, we can fill the gaps and make real change happen. The end of financial year is looming (how are we already in June!?), so here are some ways you can dig deep and support LGBTIQ+ communities this Pride Month! 🌈💖 We know that for every $100 of government funding LGBTIQ+ organisations receive just 6 cents, and for every $100 received by Australian charities, just 5 cents flows into our communities. But we want to change that, and together we can! Aurora works hard to create funding opportunities specifically for the organisations and initiatives in our communities who are underfunded. These are often the groups who provide vital, and frontline support for the most marginalised within our communities, specifically LGBTIQ+ people with intersecting marginalisation. With your support, and alongside out friends at GiveOUT Australia , we have been able to create unprecedented resourcing opportunities through the Amplify Pride Fund, that supports capacity building, core funding, operational funding and much more. With your continued support, we will be able to extend that type of support to even more in-need LGBTIQ+ organisations, programs and projects right around Australia. This EOFY embody the spirit of Aurora's founders - help us raise vital funds for LGBTIQ+ communities and have fun while doing it! 🌈🪩✨ Make your pledge, purchase a raffle ticket, browse the Silent Auction, or even snap up a last minute ticket here 👉 https://loom.ly/LHK8zkk

Property management agencies have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their communities. By partnering with key charities, they can support efforts to improve neighbourhoods and address specific needs within society. At Someday Property, for every lease property signed, we donate a warm blanket and pillow to children living in poverty around the globe via Child Fund Australia. At The Property Collective, we plant a tree for every property sold or leased through One Tree Planted. Whether you're looking to contribute to an important cause or donate time and effort to assist with local education or feeding programs, these partnerships can lead to lasting positive change. What are some creative community initiatives you're doing at your agency?

Columbia Threadneedle Foundation works with inspiring charity partners to improve individual lives while also driving long-term social change through the power of art, sport and education as catalysts for transformation. In 2024, the Foundation continued supporting its long-term charity partners Clean Break Theatre Company, Access Sport, The National Gallery, Bounce Back Project and AT The Bus helping them to deliver their vital work. In addition, Columbia Threadneedle awarded a number of grants to support charities within the communities in which we live and work.
