2p or not 2p… off National Insurance, that was the question yesterday as the TaxAssist Budget team waited for the Chancellor to officially state one of the already leaked key points from his Spring Budget. Once announced, it was action stations for me and my Budget Buddies Catherine Heinen FCCA, Gary Clark ATT CTA, Samantha Witherall, Hannah Beattie, Victoria Morgan MCIM, Andy Gibbs ATT, CTA, Kelly Chick MCIM, Danielle Fish and James Mattam. It is really important to ensure all our clients and franchisees are informed of what was announced on the day, so to get all our communications out for teatime wouldn’t have been possible without teamwork 🙌 #Budget2023 #SpringBudget #TeamworkMakesThedreamwork #Teamwork #Accountantsuk #ClientCommunication

A logical path to success
Still parsing through the budget, but it appears that the Governor's Budget proposes to cut about $250 million in Drayage and Clean Truck, Bus and Off-Road incentive funding and $120 million in infrastructure grants. The California Legislature and Governor will have until midnight on June 15, 2024 to pass a budget, although it has been fairly standard to see specific items taken up in smaller budget bills later in year.
