During our last community meet-up, the young tech enthusiasts were given an assignment to write 5 sentences on technology. As we were rounding up the question and answer session, one of them asked, "What is technology?" The moderator encouraged her to work on her assignment, as completing it would provide her with answers to the question. This incident sparked a series of thoughts in our hearts, one of which is that children are eager to learn when they are in a safe and engaging atmosphere, especially when adults reach out to them in their 'world.' This is precisely what YoungTechies Squad offers – bringing technology to children in their world. Yes, we know it's an enormous task, but we, at Tech for Young Minds and Newbies, are ready to give it our all. The next meet-up will address the question our little angel asked: "What is technology?" You can still register your child/ward to be part of this amazing community on bit.ly/YoungTechiesSquad. At YoungTechies Squad, we aim to nurture the next generation of innovators and young tech gurus. #youngtechiessquad #techforkids #younginnovators #techcommunityforkids

🚀 Bridging Innovations at RythmHacks: My Journey with Paybridge Technologies 🚀 I had the privilege of representing Paybridge Technologies at the recent RythmHacks hackathon in Waterloo, Ontario, and it was an incredible experience! 💼 At Paybridge Technologies, our mission is to bridge different payment platforms seamlessly. At RythmHacks, my role as a sponsor representative was to spread the word about our company, connect with innovative minds, and contribute to the tech community in a unique way. 🤝 I had insightful conversations with hackathon attendees, discussing how Paybridge Technologies simplifies payment processes across platforms like Venmo, CashApp, and PayPal. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and interest in our mission. 💡 I also pitched our business to prominent organizations like MLH and Capital One, forging valuable connections that can drive future collaborations and innovations. 🌐 Beyond that, I worked on expanding our user base by signing up more individuals for our beta list and offering exclusive promotions to select members of the hackathon. Witnessing the excitement as they learned about the convenience and efficiency of our services was truly rewarding. 💪 It's essential for companies like Paybridge Technologies to support and inspire the next generation of tech enthusiasts. That's why I was thrilled to be part of an event like RythmHacks, where high school students could explore their passion for technology and entrepreneurship. 🚀 This experience reaffirmed my belief in the power of tech communities, collaboration, and innovation. It's not just about sponsorship; it's about making a meaningful impact and fostering connections in the tech world. Thank you, RythmHacks, for providing a platform to bridge inspiration and innovation. And a special thanks to Paybridge Technologies for allowing me to represent our mission at this fantastic event! #PaybridgeTechnologies #RythmHacks #TechInnovation #Sponsorship #Networking #TechCommunity

A friend asked me ‘why Manchester Tech Festival?’ When there is an abundance of tech events for all audiences and in the first year and a half of Beetroot Consulting, taking time away from the desk has to be limited. The question is still, why this tech festival? Then Amy Newton opened the festival with a powerful opening speech that said it all for me. I turned to my friend and I told her, ‘that’s why this festival’. For those that missed it, it went like this…. 🐝 MTF isn’t just a meet up for Tech people or wannabe tech people, it’s rooted in a social justice cause 🐝 The tech industry offers incredible roles, that are opportunities for people build the lives they want 🐝 Manchester has whole communities of talented people with life skills born through overcoming adversity. Think the working class experience, minoritised groups and women. 🐝 Whilst the MTF work looks like events, it starts its work recognising that before any tech role could be considered… we have to allow people their dignity. So their work collecting sanitary products, nappies, IT equipment for refurb and getting into schools, that comes first. Manchester Tech Festival is the only female founded tech festival in the UK and if we wanted to really look at the data on what happens when women lead, we would see this as an example of how women lead and strengthen community. It was also peppered with a few jokes about the sensitivity of incels, personal stories about Amy’s journey and some brutal vulnerability that was deliberately left to settle in the room. So now, the bar is raised. 4 more days of MTF. The challenge to our Manchester tech community is out there and the energy was contagious!
