We would like to welcome the 2 newest members of the Community Development Department! Welcome, Quincy and Brian! 🏛️ Quincy joins the department as an Assistant Planner. He previously worked as a Planner I for the Louisville Metro Government Office of Planning in Kentucky. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in geography and master’s degree in sustainability from the University of Louisville. 🏛️ Brian, our new Associate Planner, is the newest addition to our team. With his bachelor's degree in urban planning from the University of Utah and previous experience as an Assistant Planner for the City of Berkeley Planning and Development Department, he brings a broad range of experience to his new role. Fun Fact: Brian has a passion for basketball and previously worked with VYBA—Ventura Youth Basketball Association in our Parks & Recreation Department. Together, they will assist the Planning division by working collaboratively with applicants, developers, neighbors, and community partners to ensure a sustainable future for the City of Ventura.
