Earlier this month, City Year Philly had an incredible day of service at Awbury Recreation Center, marking our second service day at this location this spring. In partnership with Vanguard, over 40 enthusiastic volunteers came out to make an impact! Together, we tackled an ambitious list of projects, including: 🏀 Repainting the lines on the basketball courts 🏟️ Painting the bleachers 🎾 Painting the walls of the tennis courts 🌈 Creating a vibrant "Dream Big" mural 🌱 Building and painting 10 planter boxes for the kids to use for a garden-planting activity this summer A huge thank you to the Vanguard volunteers and our amazing team for all their hard work and dedication.
