Congratulations to Rotherhithe Primary School named Regional Finalist in the CIVIC TRUST AWARDS 2025! Rotherhithe Primary School’s redevelopment transforms it into a modern, inclusive community hub. Embracing the concept of a "school within a garden," it extends the green space and openness of Southwark Park into the school grounds, creating a stimulating and protected outdoor environment for students, many from high-rise homes without gardens. The design prioritises inclusivity, with spaces for children with special needs, and fosters community connections through flexible facilities for arts, sports, and workshops. Celebrating local heritage and prioritising sustainability with energy-efficient systems and green features, the school is a beacon of hope and pride for its vibrant, diverse neighbourhood. The project will now compete for National Awards or Highly Commended status, with winners to be revealed in January 2025 and celebrated at the Civic Trust Awards Ceremony in March. https://lnkd.in/ej4iskzZ
