The CEC should seek such partnerships with other governmental, academic and private entries to enhance the visibility and importance of Board certification. Other professions highlight their expertise in specialized areas through board certifications (look at the walls of your doctors!) so this should also be for civil engineers. It demonstrates that a board certified professional has been thoroughly vetted and has met high standards.
