Who am I to say this but secondaries or continuation funds will soon become the “new PE” source for funding purchases that were made in a zero interest, roll up at any expense via leverage and expected 3-5 year exits environment. The truth and reality is the vast number of provider platforms that were rolled up between 2018-2022 will not see a quick exit for a variety of reasons in the timeframe originally established. So long as the original fund can hang around 10 years to a liquidity event no need to read any further. However, both buyers and sellers are coming to the realization that there is still lots of wood to chop to acheive sustainable organic growth with increased operating margins. Secondaries will greatly assist those seeking a longer runway to success.

The CME forecasts a ~𝟗𝟎% 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐜𝐮𝐭 in September with a high likelihood of more to follow by Q1 2025. 👍 The improvement in rates will be welcomed. However, the physiological impact will 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐮𝐩 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 from investors and lenders due to the certainty of a decreasing rate environment. 🔥 These rate adjustments could provide a 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 for strategic acquisitions in commercial real estate before demand momentum takes full swing in 2025. 👀 Activity is picking up.
