Helping Companies Bridge the Gen Z Gap | Workplace Well-being Advocate

"In a world that never stops, when was the last time you told yourself, 'You did well'? Such a simple phrase, yet many of us forget to remind ourselves that we’ve done our best today. Every day brings new challenges, and in the rush, we often forget to pause and appreciate the effort we put in. Sure, as we grow older, praise may seem less important. But even as we gain more experience, it's essential not to shy away from self-recognition. After a long day—whether you’ve been handling clients, communicating with managers, or tackling endless paperwork—take a moment. As you sit on the train or close your eyes for a second, let yourself say: 'You did well today, and you deserve to rest. Thank you for getting through today.' This habit has transformed my friends’ lives, making them feel visibly happier. They've shared how much they appreciate this moment of self-gratitude. Why not give it a try? How do you remind yourself to celebrate the small wins? We're all experiencing life for the first time together, so let's remember to give ourselves a moment of gratefulness.

I agree! Celebrating the small wins indeed create a habit of positive thinking, however we must also be careful about over-indulging ourselves in pride. A good balance between both is essential 🤩

Such a powerful reminder! We often get caught up in the grind and forget the importance of self-recognition. Taking a moment to appreciate our efforts can truly boost our well-being. I’ll be adopting this practice for sure.

Thanks for sharing! If I could add 1 word, it would be incremental. We should celebrate incremental wins. That way we motivate on new wins and getting better wins!

Love this reminder! It’s so easy to overlook our own efforts, but a little self-praise goes a long way.
