How to get real results with today's marketing limitations? Our CEO Arun Srinivasan unpacked this topic with Delivery Hero's Federica Pezzetti and ABOUT YOU's Cindy Lin at App Growth Summit Berlin two weeks ago. 3 key takeaways: 1) The shift to sustainable growth Marketing has shifted from "growth at all costs" to "sustainable growth". Teams have to adjust target metrics accordingly, looking beyond ROAS to consider profitability (e.g., north star metric - order profit contribution). 2) The importance of agility and speed of reaction to changes The marketing landscape is changing faster than ever. Being agile is a must (e.g., shifting budgets between channels and markets multiple times per week or day). 3) Data democratization is a key enabler Enabling marketers to easily explore data is critical to uncover actionable insights at the speed of business. Waiting weeks for answers or just scratching the surface is no longer enough. What a great event! #AGSBER24 #AppGrowthSummit #Berlin

As Product manager, there is a constant need to align across teams, linking gaps across organization strategy, and operations to business needs. Eventually, linking this to PMs drives the goals. E.g. There will be a key metric to drive user engagement via user notifications, via new features, or via backend integrations. So, now goal is to drive Top KPI and build different subsets of KPIs - could be between lagging and leading indicator that help to grow the major goal. The below link is to drive Company Goals via product metrics and Product Ops. https://lnkd.in/gn-ZPR4j #productmanagement #productinnovation #kpis

😃 Do you know your customers? Helping business engaging better with their customers. I strongly believe that companies make a significant and lasting impact in the world. emBlue Customer Engagement Platform
Just devoured my first book of the year! 🚀 And yes, I'm one of those who set a #ReadingGoal for 2024 🤣 I've been absorbed in @Uri Levine 's 'Fall in Love with the Problem, Not the Solution. He is co-founder of Waze and Moovit, two unicorn companies The most significant takeaway? The absolute necessity of finding 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗧! It's crucial to ask yourself how your company is not only adding value but also how it's SOLVING A an urgent needs for your customers, pointing out areas that TRULY matter to your clients. But success isn’t bringing sales. The real KPI to watch? RETENTION! Even if you manage to bring customers through the door, if you aren't providing real value, they won’t return. Achieving PMF (product market fit) that is not as straightforward as it seems it took: ✅ Microsoft 5 years ✅ Netflix 10 years ✅ Waze 4 years. So, how do you know if you're tackling a substantial problem? Start by discussing it with around a hundred people (OK, in reality, you may not need that many) by the 30th conversation, you'll likely have a pretty solid idea if your problem is significant or not. #CustomerAnalytics #CustomerRetention #Fallinlovewiththeproblem

The Secret Reason You're Happier Waiting For An Uber 👀 Ever heard of a psychological moonshot? 🌟 Coined by Ogilvy’s Rory Sutherland. A psychological moonshot is a relatively small investment that drastically improves the perception of something. In Steven Bartlett’s “The Diary Of A CEO, The 33 Laws Of Business & Life”, he explores this concept in depth. 📘 Let’s dive into some standout examples: 🔹 Uber - Idleness Aversion 🔹 Uber Labs found a fascinating insight: people hate being idle! By keeping us busy, even with something as simple as a moving car on a map, Uber makes waiting time feel shorter and reduces cancellations. “This explains why restaurants give you freebies while you wait, why Netflix and YouTube play previews when you hover over videos, and why Google Chrome has that fun T-rex game when you lose connection.” 🍕🎥🦖 Even mirrors in lifts help us pass the time faster! 🔹 Domino’s Pizza Tracker - Operational Transparency 🔹 Back in 2008, Domino’s faced a customer service challenge. Instead of speeding up delivery, they opted for transparency with their 'Pizza Tracker', showing real-time updates on your order status. This brilliant move reduced customer inquiries, boosted satisfaction, and built loyalty, saving and earning Domino’s millions. 📈 The Pizza Tracker is a perfect example of how transparency can transform a business. These examples highlight the power of understanding customer psychology. Small changes, BIG impacts. 🌟 Seen any other great psychological moonshots? Share in the comments! 👇

Inspired by a #ThreeBodyProblem, let’s talk about RevOps 👽 (anyone else as excited as I am for the Netflix premiere today 👁 🍿 ?) Just like predicting the motion of three celestial bodies in physics is incredibly difficult, aligning Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success can feel equally challenging 😁 In the real world, these teams often operate in their own orbits, slowed down by siloed data and mismatched goals. Marketing chases leads, Sales focuses on closing deals, and CS works to retain customers – all valuable efforts, but they miss the bigger picture when flying solo. Here's where #RevOps comes in to: 📎 Align Teams & Goals: Marketing, Sales, and CS collaborate to define shared objectives that fuel revenue growth. 📎 Break Down Silos: Integrate data across departments for a complete customer journey view, from lead generation to post-sale support. ️ 📎 Automate Workflows: Free up your team's time for strategic initiatives by streamlining repetitive tasks. ⚡️ 📎 Measure & Optimize: Track key metrics across the revenue funnel to identify areas for improvement. Think of RevOps as your celestial navigator in the revenue galaxy, and #Hubspot as a tool to help you implement the RevOps strategy. Your teams should work together as a well-coordinated system, not isolated bodies, all focused on the same mission: customer success, driving growth, and achieving escape velocity from stagnant results! 🚀 #RevenueOperations #NetflixThreeBodyProblem

The Netflixes of the world popularized shift-right testing. While testing in production provides a helpful, continuous feedback loop based on real customer behavior, it's tough to replicate, disrupts the customer experience, and you can't test for scale and volume. With Speedscale's traffic-driven testing approach, you can pretty much test in production without actually testing in production. Our latest blog post covers how traffic-driven testing with Speedscale helps you de-risk your testing approaches while still achieving all of the realism of shift-right. https://bit.ly/3Y808SE #softwaretesting #kubernetes
