The City of Bridgeport just completed a major public safety project—one that’s making a real difference for pedestrians, drivers, and elementary school students. And it’s all thanks to the innovative work of eight civil and environmental engineering capstone students from the Statler College! Among them, Kara Cunningham, Ian Bird, and Zach Houde played a key role in redesigning a critical intersection to improve safety and traffic flow. Their recommendations were brought to life through a six-figure project, adapted and implemented by The Thrasher Group. What’s the result? A safer, more efficient urban space. AEI, an STV Company is celebrating the completion of I-Move Kentucky, a four-year, $180 million design-build project led by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. We're proud of our longstanding partnership with Habitat for Humanity International, and we're excited to be involved in one of their latest builds in Maine. This project is particularly meaningful for teams at the Huber Resources Corporation in Old Town and our facility in Easton, who will play an active role in the project in 2025. Eastern Maine Community College Building Construction students are working on the home to gain hands-on experience, while students studying electrical engineering and plumbing are also participating in the build.
