For several years now I have been studying what ails our American democracy and what can be done to fix it. I became focused on this when I saw that despite support from strong majorities of Americans, our politicians couldn't agree on and enact into law commonsense polices to deal with climate change, gun control, immigration reform, and reproductive rights. FIRST... The Research provided is both #thoughtful and accurate as to the assessment of sheer numbers of Blacks that are incarcerated; SECOND... Every individual that is so held...upon release...will have a high probability of becoming #underemployed...and therefore in need of some financial assistance...provided by either a Member State or Federal Government...or both; THIRD... It is fascinating that facing 91 Felony Charges under assorted alleged Violations of either Federal Criminal Law...or State Criminal Statute (Georgia)...the apparent primary remedy of choice selected by 45 is to become #fully employed as President and to issue a Pardon to himself on the basis that Criminal Statutes do not from a Constitutional perspective apply to the Elected Occupant of the White House! By implication...under that reasoning...such a person as 45 should BENEFIT from the 91 alleged Felony Acts both monetarily...and by having Convictions having been Expunged! How ought people of Color to view these facts? What are your thoughts?
