Informative podcast with Dan Harris re IP protection for businesses with manufacturers in China. He lists three keys: 1) Good partner; 2) Good contracts; and 3) Good IP registrations/protections. One counter-intuitive tip, is that in case of dispute, your company would not want the venue of litigation to be in the U.S., because the Chinese manufacturer will not have any assets here in the US to attach, and Chinese courts will not enforce US court judgments. He also points out that due to the poor economy in China, counterfeiting and stealing IP is ever-more rampant. #China #manufacturing #IP #protection #international #trade
