Three years after a very wealthy person bought an old car worth approximately 20 million US dollars, he decided to sell it after driving it for 22.5 km (14 miles) during its ownership period. Some of your loyal followers may remember that the star of this news is that it is the most expensive McLaren F1 car in the world, after it was sold in a public car auction held at the Pebble Beach Festival for a huge price of 20,465,000 US dollars. When it was sold less than 3 years ago, the odometer of this rare super sports car, numbered 029 out of 106 cars, was 387 km (240.5 miles). The star of this news is a 1995 McLaren F1, which will be sold again at a public auction scheduled to be held through Sotheby’s Sealed on May 13 (the fifth month) of the current year 2024. The official details available to us indicate that this rare old car for sale has covered a distance of 410 km, or the equivalent of 254.8 miles. This means that the new owner put only 14 miles on the odometer during three years of ownership, which is equivalent to less than 5 miles per year. One year! This information confirms that the owner of this very rare car is seeking to sell it for a higher amount than the one he bought it for, i.e. more than 20 million US dollars. After the discussion, the decision was made to sell an old car that its owner had purchased 3 years ago at a price exceeding 20 million US dollars. As a reminder, the British company McLaren manufactured only 106 McLaren F1 cars, and it relies mechanically on a 6.1-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, made by BMW, which produces 618 horsepower and 650 Newton meters of torque. Not since Ferris Bueller persuaded his friend Cameron to sneak his Dads car out the garage, has a Ferrari caused so much grief! 😄 Never meet your heroes - Part 2..... My Client took delivery of his Ferrari #296GTB brand new from Graypaul Glasgow - Ferrari and it has unfortunately been a rather unfulfilling and frustrating experience for him. The PHEV system is repetitively faulty and has left the car languishing in the workshop instead of thrilling my Client on the open road. He had even planned a road trip to properly stretch its' legs, that had to be cancelled at very short notice and despite the dealer knowing about this, no offer of a replacement car was made. How poor is that? So, the Client has started rejection proceedings. Buying a #Ferrari (or any dream car for that matter) should be a major milestone in your life. It should represent the physical embodiment of all the hard work, late nights and personal sacrifices needed to make buying a £260,000 car possible. It should never be like this, and whilst I am not one iota surprised at the Sytner Group way of doing business, I am gobsmacked that Ferrari are not all over this. I am told this drivetrain is causing them more than a few issues and I already have multiple Owners quietly asking about our service. Essere avvisato Chaps! Everyone concerned has now been written to and I await their replies, but unless they are very quick, this dream car is going to become their nightmare! *** STOP WASTING TIME *** ✅ Yesterday I bought 4 vehicles from 3 separate car buying platforms. ☑ I bought all 4 vehicles on a 'BUY IT NOW'! ❌ ALL 4 VEHICLES HAVE CANCELLED! 😡 - Let's start with an Audi A5 that we won. We won this car for £9,000. After contacting the customer to arrange the next steps I am told that he doesn't want to sell the car for anything less than £10,500 as someone has told him that's what it's worth. - Moving on to a lovely Peugeot 3008 that we won for £20,300. I am told that he has already traded his car in against his new one and is disappointed as I have offered more than he received from the garage he sold it to. - Now on to the price range Volkswagen Polo GTI that I won for £9,200! Called the customer to collect the car same day as they were local, only to be told that they won't take anything less than £10,000 which they are adamant they told the car buying platform when listing. - My fourth call, to my fourth vehicle won. This cannot be 4 in a row can it? It is, but it gets even better with this one. So I won this incredible Audi TT Coupe for £14,500 on one of the car buying platforms. I WON IT! They accepted and were happy to go ahead. An hour later they said another dealer had offered £15,500 and could we match it? I thought here we go again so declined. Later that day they called me and asked if I would go to £14,800 as they had been messed around by the other company, after researching the market again I accepted. Now I am being ignored by the customer to confirm the collection. 15.30 arrives (when all the live auctions finish on these platforms) and yes you're right, it was on another platform, the customer instantly messages me and says that another dealer has offered more and can I match it. I politely decline and that is zero of the four car I'd won that day completed! This was a story of 4 cars bought on a BUY IT NOW, not where I had lost out to another bid!
