UPDATE: I'm going to make this a 2 for 1 post. !!So long post ahead!! Mark got thru the procedure just fine and we got home yesterday mid-day & we both are resting, however they were not able to Stent as his body had started creating its own "roadway" around the blockage, same as the last blockage 6 yrs ago (some of you may remember this). So this concludes our last test to figure out why his EF has gotten so bad. The conclusion is heart failure with A-Fib. They discussed with me yesterday on the different defibrillators/pace makers that are provided due to his condition. They originally thought they would start with the middle "strength" but after yesterday they are thinking the stronger one is the way to go. This particular one will help his heart pump much better & help him feel alittle better. With that said, we see the specialist next week to discuss and I assume schedule this procedure. Just keep sending all those good vibes. Yesterday started the semi finals & I made it to this round. Today is last day for 2 for 1 voting, the next 2 days will be single votes then hopefully I will make it to the finals. I need to stay in the top 10 to move forward. This story is bonkers–not a term I use often… or lightly. And it made me consider the winding path of attribution. As marketers, we spend so much time crafting funnels, building forms, editing CTAs and slapping UTM parameters on everything. We have this linear idea of the path from awareness to conversion, but how often does it work that way? Here’s the winding path that led me to this documentary: 📙 Read the chapter on Elaine de Kooning (and her husband, Willem) in Ninth Street Women. **This made the name recognizable. 🗞️ Read an article about a hitchhiker in the latest edition of County Highway that referenced the stolen de Kooning. **This made the story intriguing. 💻 Looked up news articles on the missing painting from the University of Arizona (kicked myself for not knowing about it when I visited Tucson last year). **This made the story personal. 🥸 Caught a glimpse of “Dennis Reynolds” (Glenn Howerton) in a fake mustache and I was locked in for the next hour and a half. **This made the product compelling.
