Teachers are key reading role models. Our Family Survey found that: ➡️ 73% of parents and carers of 5-11 year-olds believe their child's school effectively encourages a love of reading in its students. ➡️ 62% of parents and carers of 5-11 years olds say that their children regularly listen to an adult reading a book or story during school lessons. ➡️ 47% of 8–11-year-olds say they discover new books through their teachers. To support teachers to continue this great work, we've created a reading for pleasure Teacher Toolkit packed with tips and resources - take a look here: https://lnkd.in/eBBZf4ZF And for more information on the research, head this way: https://lnkd.in/e-wEtdxW
