Since our founding in 2009, ProInspire has partnered with social change leaders and organizations to help create a world where everyone can thrive. We believe that when BIPOC leaders, who are closely connected to their communities, thrive in their workplaces, they foster thriving in their organizations and communities.
Our new research, Thriving Leaders and Communities, focuses on accelerating racial equity by understanding the conditions needed for BIPOC leaders, organizations and communities to thrive. We are passionate about building a future where race and other aspects of identity do not determine the success of leaders or organizations.
Thriving social justice organizations are key to creating racially equitable communities where everyone flourishes! Join us at our upcoming webinar to talk more about how we can all create conditions for thriving!
Our latest research report has reinvigorated our hope for the future here at ProInspire. After interviewing 58 nonprofit senior leaders of color across 39 cities, one thing we know is true: leaders of color can and will THRIVE with the necessary conditions. Change is possible. Change is happening. And we’re so excited to share more about what we’ve learned. Despite the real and pervasive challenges faced by communities in the U.S. and globally, we have the power to nurture and invest in the path towards collective progress and transformation.

I loved hosting Queensway's International Women's Day panel discussion yesterday with panellists Vanessa Hall, Nick Pilbeam and Lucy Soper MCIPD as we talked about empathetic leadership and inspiring inclusion.
It's invigorating to be part of a company's conversation about how to make the workplace a more supportive place to be. Imagine if every organisation took the time to inspire people to be more empathetic in their every day? Apart from the obvious and most important factor that staff feel seen and heard and are therefore, happier, it's also proven that it improves retention and results.
Key takeaways:
Be yourself
Ask for feedback - and be prepared to hear it
Remember that empathy and compassion is your superpower
I really enjoy doing panel moderation so if you're looking for someone to ask the questions at your next event, do get in touch!

Yesterday at Queensway, we celebrated International Women’s Day and the theme of ‘Inspiring inclusion’, where we discussed authentic and empathic leadership.
We wanted to give a special thank you to our keynote speaker Kellie Nedelcoux (Hick), who brought to life the power of being authentic by sharing her personal story and some practical tips on how you can bring empathy and compassion into the workplace.
This was followed by an inspiring panel discussion led by Lallie Fraser, who created the space for the panellists to bring their own experiences of empathy in the workplace to life. A huge thank you to each of our panellists; Vanessa Hall, Nick Pilbeam and Lucy Soper MCIPD.

It was an enormous privilege last night to attend the inaugural meeting of United Blind Leaders.
The status quo needs to change.
It is not okay that blind leaders are so rarely represented in those organisations who advocate for and provide services to blind people.
✅ Blindness needs to become recognised as a core leadership skill among other leadership skills. The benefits of lived experience in leadership are so profound.
✅ Those barriers that are preventing blind leaders from applying for and being successful in leadership roles need to be removed.
✅ And most importantly, we need to so thoroughly abolish perceptions that we are not good or skilled enough to be leaders, that it would be tokenistic to have blind leaders at the top, or that we would somehow pose a risk to the long-term sustainability of these organisations.
The time is now to truly demonstrate what blindness services can do to advance our empowerment, inclusion, independence and value in society.
