“We had a blast. It’s one of my favorite days of not brewing beer.” Taylor Lamm, the Brewmaster at Oconee Brewing Company, talks about the process of filming some of the content we made for the brewery. There are lots of effective ways to use video in your business. Taylor talks here about how he used a series of short videos to drive his business. But if we zoom out just a little, you’ll notice that this is also a strategic video within my business, and the kind that you can implement, too. A case study, or a testimonial, serves as social proof for the results of your business. This is the highest converting type of video. Here’s how it works. If you have been following me, know me personally, or are one of my clients, then you already know what it’s like to do business with me. But if you don’t know anything about my business, and you are exploring my stuff, and come across this type of social proof, you might just be led to reach out. Your business has an opportunity for social proof, too, in the form of testimonials or case studies. And part of that strategy is not just posting the video on social - it’s where that testimonial video lives in your marketing funnel to work its magic at just the right time. If you want to chat more about a video strategy for your company, send me a message.

Everyone stop what you are doing and pay attention to me. Just for a second, though. I want breweries (and, by association, restaurants, food trucks, and distilleries) to be successful online. I want to see better posts. I want to get better emails. I want to see all of it more often. That’s not going to happen without pushing further and harder. By digging deeper, you will see new ways of creating interest in your brewery. - Tell me how often you need to change kegs → People love the beer. - Show me how happy the people in your taproom are → Happy people love the beer. - Tell me how friendly and personable your staff is → Good people work here. - Show me how packed your brewery can get → Everyone loves the beer. - Tell me how much experience your brewers have → The beer is crafted by pros. Do these things or don’t do these things. It doesn’t matter. Do whatever you want, but do it your way. If all else fails, market your brewery in a way that would make you want to check it out. Okay, that's it. Just a brief, little plea for better brewery marketing. Cheers.

How to combine Benefits and Features: The Key to Awesome Brewery Marketing! What's the difference between the benefits and the features a brewery offers? NO, this isnt a set-up for a corny joke, but it's crucial in making your brewery stand out. When it comes to marketing and sales, it's about more than just tugging on emotions with benefits; it's about backing them up with solid features. Imagine a steak that's sold on being protein-rich, flavorful, and sizzling hot. If it arrives and its tough as old boots, it's missed delivering the features that support those benefits, leading to one miffed-off customer. The same applies to breweries. Let's break it down: Benefits tell your punters what they get, like top-notch freshness in every beer. Features show how you deliver it, like on-site brewing by seasoned pros. Let's check out a few more examples: Benefit: A vibrant social atmosphere. Feature: A spacious taproom designed for everyone to mingle and enjoy. Benefit: Learning about brewing and its history. Feature: Engaging brewery tours that dive deep into the art of brewing. When you blend benefits and features in your comms, you set clear expectations and show how you’ll meet them, turbo charging your reputation in the market.
