Squeezing in the MRO M&A prediction too covers the need to address the recent demand for postproduction assessments and repairs. Infrastructure for sensing, communications, and local operations is critical for enabling all of the AAM, BVLOS drone, and modern business jet goals. Lots to build on here!

In the air: In today’s always-connected world, satellite communications are key to enabling access to fast, flexible and secure connectivity whilst on the move, anytime, anywhere. Satellite communications for air flight safety, inflight monitoring, passenger entertainment systems, airline operations and crew connectivity contributes to increased safety and efficient maintenance, reduction of fuel use and CO2 emission levels. At sea: Satellite Communications are essential for applications of safety and security measures that preserve valuable assets and improve fleet efficiency while reducing climate impact. Communication is key for crews welfare. On land: Characteristics such as security, resilience and ubiquity enable satellites to provide primary and backup autonomous transportation connectivity on trains, trucks and automobiles. By providing real-time service requests and continuous routing information to trucks and cargos, satellite connectivity minimises transport time, saving fuel/energy and lowering CO2 emissions. Pilots rely on ground radio stations to talk to air traffic controllers. This makes flights over much of our oceans and remote land areas silent, less efficient, and less safe. We're glad to help Startical change that. Startical, a joint venture by ENAIRE, the fourth-largest national air navigation service provider in Europe, and Indra, a leading company in air traffic management, has ordered a pathfinder satellite from NanoAvionics for its planned 270 small satellite constellation. This roughly 110-kilogram satellite, based on our flight-proven MP42 microsatellite bus, will host Startical's proprietary VHF radio communication payload and antenna systems for Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast (ADS-B). The payload will use aeronautical frequency bands to provide voice and data communication between the pilot and air traffic control. Uninterrupted aircraft voice communications would allow for increased flight safety and create more efficient flight routes, thereby reducing air travel costs and CO2 emissions.
