May 11th marks a significant day as Governor Roy Cooper has declared it North Carolina's technology day. New paper available!. I am grateful to Vladimir Vargas, Diego Hernando Useche Reyes, Fabio Gonzalez & Herbert Vinck for the collaboration and accompaniment. In this paper, we showcase the utilization of memetic algorithms, which integrate genetic algorithms with local optimization techniques, to optimize variational quantum circuit architectures specifically designed for density estimation tasks. Our main contribution lies in discovering shallow quantum circuits suitable for density estimation, capable of scaling to multi-dimensional datasets and compatible with near-term quantum hardware.
