The Clean Aviation Partnership is set to launch its third €380 million call for projects in February 2025, aiming to accelerate green #aviation #technologies. 👥 Last month, during the second Consortium Meeting, Di-PEGASUS partners came together for an engaging #Workshop focused on validation approaches for the project’s three Use Cases. 🎯 The goal? Clean Aviation has announced a third Call for Proposals expected in February 2025. 380 M€ of EU investments will generate at least 950 M€ of total research effort to decarbonize aviation. The funds will be invested as follows: ⚡ Ultra-efficient Regional (REG) aircraft architectures: €145 million ✈️ Ultra-efficient Short-Medium Range (SMR) aircraft architectures: €205 million ✦ Aircraft Concept Integration & Impact Assessment (ACI&I): €15 million #️⃣ In addition, there will be additional 15 M€ to advance disruptive technologies through the Fast Track Areas (FTAs). 🚀 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟱 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁! We’re excited to present our updated #SRIA, where the vision for the 2nd Phase of the Clean Aviation programme is outlined. This phase focuses on four cutting-edge aircraft concepts designed to revolutionise SMR, Regional and Hydrogen segments with a strong emphasis on sustainability.   ✈️With these innovations, we aim to reduce net-GHG emissions down to an average of 86% thanks to an improved efficiency of 30% from aircraft technological innovations at aircraft level and the use of SAF and Hydrogen. By 2030, we expect these technologies to reach #TRL6, paving the way for disruptive new products and services, ready for Entry in Service by 2035.   In the words of Rosalinde van der Vlies, Chair Clean Aviation, European Commission Director of Clean Planet, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation states: "Decarbonising aviation in Europe relies significantly on investments in research and innovation, as well as strong coordinated approach at EU, national and regional level. This updated Clean Aviation Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda should serve as a compass for both the public and private sector in Europe, guiding the development of future disruptive aircraft technologies.
