💰 "North American automakers have presented China as a sort of Goliath to their David. But the real Davids — Canadians like the family above — just want an affordable EV to make their life a little easier. A 100% tariff sends a clear message, indeed: we forgot about you," write Clean Energy Canada's Joanna Kyriazis and Rachel Doran in a new op-ed. #cdnpoli #climateaction #autos #electricvehicle #affordability #costofliving

Can EVs survive without subsidies? Can they continue to prosper? Quebecers, Canada's most prolific purchaser of zero emissions vehicles, face diminishing — and finally in 2027, none — EV purchase incentives. And what happens if, as is expected, Canada's federal $5,000 EV incentive disappears, as scheduled, on March 31m 2025? Add it all up and EV intenders would be losing up to $12,000 in total incentivization. WIll they continue to flock to Tesla and Ioniqs? Or will EV sales crater? Nobody knows. But it sure looks like we're going to find out,

“ In order to be able to qualify for the ever-changing and complicated federal $7,500 rebate on #EVs, one has to be rich enough to be able to afford to buy a new EV (some used ones qualify but good luck figuring out which one, and then even better luck finding such a car available for purchase). But, in order to qualify for the rebate, one can’t be too rich. If you’re middle-income, like me, you can lease an EV, but then you don’t qualify for the rebate—your leasing company does—and you’re left paying a hefty monthly lease… EVs are still unaffordable for the majority of Americans, especially those who simply want to reduce their carbon footprint and their financial expenses at the same time…the U.S. is engaging in a fiercely protectionist trade war with China in order to shield American automakers. ” https://lnkd.in/e9v8fPPJ

Ignore the urban myths about EVs which are peddled by people that are resistant to change. The fact is electric vehicles are the future, and with developments in battery technology a range of nearly 400 miles is now achievable. For example ,the New Ford Mustang Mach-E boasts an incredible 372 mile range, which if you charged every night would be 135,000 miles a year! The truth is the UK average annual mileage is 7400 miles so you'd only need to charge 20 times a year. Plus there are now more public electric charging nozzles than there are petrol pumps, and that doesn't include the 900,000 charges that have been installed at peoples homes already. With 2 out of 3 homes having a driveway, the fact is we're ready. And if all this isn't enough to convince you, then the ridiculously low company car tax should do the trick. Just £20 p/month on the Mustang Mach-e for a 20% tax payer. These vehicles are in stock right now, but they must be registered this month which means you've got just days to join the revolution. 📧mark.crabtree@thebestcardeals.co.uk 📞01282 857871

🌟 Drive the Future with an Electric Vehicle! 🚗⚡️ Thinking about making the switch to an electric vehicle (EV)? Here’s why now is the perfect time to consider a Tesla or BYD: 💸 Government Incentives: • $3,000 Zero Emissions Vehicle Subsidy: Available for new EV purchases in Victoria. This makes EVs more affordable and supports our path to net-zero emissions by 2050. • Lower Stamp Duty: EVs enjoy lower stamp duty rates compared to petrol and diesel vehicles. • Registration Discount: Benefit from a $100 discount on your annual vehicle registration. 🏦 Lender Benefits: • Green Loans: Many lenders offer competitive green loans with lower interest rates for EV purchases. • Flexible Financing Options: Enjoy tailored loan products designed to support sustainable choices. 🔋 Cost Savings: • Save on fuel costs with electricity being cheaper than petrol or diesel. • Lower maintenance costs due to fewer moving parts in EVs. Join the movement towards a sustainable future! 🌱 Switch to an electric vehicle today and reap the benefits for both your wallet and the environment. #ElectricVehicle #Tesla #BYD #SustainableLiving #GreenEnergy #ZeroEmissions #FutureOfTransport #CleanEnergy #VictoriaEVRebate

The biggest problem with EV Adoption is all about #equity. The former $55K price tag of #ev left out 95% of all Americans, especially Americans who make less than the national average income. An equitable approach to the market would have solved this, but only now do we have some level of affordability. Now we need Equity https://lnkd.in/gacVYv72

“Ottawa’s EV transition policy is deeply misguided, and already shows signs of incipient failure. And likely more failed taxpayer “investments” lie ahead. A smart government would tap the brakes on its EV transition policy. The bubble is growing.” This was easily foreseeable. Never mind the lack of demand. There simply is no supply chain in existence that could support these misguided EV mandates. And the point that we are borrowing money to chase this pipedream is particularly painful. #trudeaumustgo #evs #bevs #economy #debt #deficits

If you’re thinking about moving to an electric car, but are concerned about how long it takes to charge when on the road, maybe this post will set your mind at rest. There’s a big difference about how you approach filling up an electric car versus a petrol car that you might not realise (I certainly didn’t!). When charging your EV you only need to put in enough juice in to get to your destination (home/hotel/friend etc) where you can usually charge fully (you’ll need a Kerbo Charge of course if you don’t have a driveway!) When filling up with gasoline, you obviously can’t fill up with petrol at home so you may as well get a full tank. Now our EV which is already three years old will happily charge at 10 miles/ minute at a high speed charger, which are ubiquitously available at pretty much all UK motorway service stations now. This means in three years of ownership (ok, leasing) I’ve rarely needed to charge it for more than 10 minutes when on the road! We just came back from an approx 350 mile return road trip down to Dorset, and total charge time en route? Eight minutes at Fleet services on the M3. Oh and total fuel cost? £14.89. Maybe it’s time to make the leap.

Things to consider when buying an electric vehicle! 🚗 Do you have home charging? 🔋Is it expensive? Fast charging or slow charging? LFP or NCM? Afraid of battery fires? What does all of this mean? If you're looking to buy a new car lately, you're probably considering an electric vehicle. With their low maintenance costs and environmental benefits, it seems like there's no reason not to choose one… But some people still say it’s too early for electric cars. The number of eco-friendly vehicles on the road is still around 550,000, so it seems like there’s a long way to go. So, what can be done to convince those who are hesitant to buy electric vehicles? 🤔 🔗Read more: https://bit.ly/4haolPC #ev #economy #subsidy #battery #chargingstation #tesla

Why EV’s will get cheaper than ICE? This picture says it all. Yes batteries are expensive, but prices are likely to halve this year. According to the biggest battery producer in the world. Look at an ICE engine, and you will see that it is hard to get it cheaper. In 2-3 year time, a typical EV will be cheaper than a typical ICE
Prediction: Used electric vehicles will rebound and depreciate at slower rates than combustion vehicles in the next 18-24 months. Hang onto your EV and wait out the storm. The pricing we see in used cars is driven by price reductions, higher financing interest rates, lack of familiarity and knowledge, and skewed perception. Unfortunately, the anti-EV narrative is a big part of the issues in the market today. 90% of the people I meet have a negative perception of EVs and when I dig into it, they are basing their opinions on false information. Many haven’t stopped to think about the benefits. Mainstream consumers rarely choose more complex, less reliable, more maintenance and higher cost when given the option between competing products. The last dominos to fall are more model choices and charging convenience. Europe and China have largely solved these issues. EV sales continue to grow steadily there today. *disclaimer: my opinions are my own. 😋 #electricvehicle #usedcars #teslamotors #tesla

The potential of e-fuels is huge. Synthetic e-fuels could potentially offer a lifeline to classic car owners and existing gas cars, and could be game changer globally.
