Best invest in Building and talking about Fusion power, space, and maritime propulsion systems and industry as data centres are. You talk about Nuclear (meaning Fission) and fail to discuss fusion. https://lnkd.in/ge_aeX7M The nuclear fission industry is, ignorant of what's happening around you. Pull your uranium heads out, start adjusting your industry to fusion energy and start preparing to enter the commercially growing fusion energy industry. As it dawns on Earth like the sun. Great Headline Guardian on Nuclear fission. https://lnkd.in/g8sMZtpR Fission is moving towards obsolescence at an accelerated pace, as it is "out of step, out of time, out of place," and merely a temporary industry globally. https://lnkd.in/gbd_mZqk Commercial fusion electrical generation is a promising innovative sustainable and clean energy method. By 2028, Helion is expected to start producing electricity from its first fusion commercial power plant, which will provide electricity to Microsoft. The plant will produce at least 50 MWe after an initial ramp-up period. https://lnkd.in/gY9J3MQY Now see what is happening in the Fusion industry in the world. https://lnkd.in/g9hMBD7a As fission trebles, fuel shortage is increasingly real,
If solar/wind + battery storage was reliable enough, would Big Data companies be rushing to secure nuclear power for their electricity needs? These extremely tech-savvy companies surely know something that most "renewable energy only" supporters don't know - that electricity reliability comes at a premium they are willing to pay for, and the only way they can achieve their desired level of reliability is through long-term nuclear energy purchase agreements. https://lnkd.in/eEVU5vaC #nuclearpower #nuclearenergy #nuclearelectricity #datacenters #powerreliability #gridreliability

The mandate continues to grow for safe, reliable, clean, affordable nuclear energy 24/7/365 … “People are waking up to the point that if we’re going to decarbonize, and if we’re going to connect all this stuff, from vehicles, industry, home heating, more data centers, AI, all of that, to the grid, it’s going to be more important than ever that we have energy that operates when our customers need it,” Dominguez said. Nuclear energy, considered to be a safe and renewable form of energy, has seen a surge in investments by Silicon Valley billionaires in the last few years. From 2015 to 2021, investment in nuclear energy grew around 325% by volume and 3642% by dollar value. According to the International Energy Agency, renewable capacity will meet 35% of global power generation by 2025. Helping the Energy Majors navigate, embrace and profit from the global E n e r g y ⚡️ T r a n s i t i o n
#theNuclearOption - Amid the AI gold rush, companies are hungry for the energy needed to power data centers. The #dataCenters, in turn, act as training and distribution centers for the machine learning that drive #AI. #Nuclear power is one such answer. Morgan Stanley analyst David Arcaro expects the conference call to focus "on the potential for signing long-term contracts with data centers at the company's nuclear plant sites," according to an April 29 note. #NuclearOption

New York recently experienced what shutting down one of their nuclear sites did to not only their grid, but also to their emission rates in the state. The state experienced a direct correlation to increased carbon emissions when they took each unit offline at Indian Point. Why? Because they had to rely on coal and natural gas plants to make up for what renewables (wind and solar) could not do! Classic case of people not putting enough effort into researching their agenda to see it is based on outdated, manipulated, and bogus data. I put this together to help show people what the data proves, time and time again: if you want green energy, keep our nuclear plants open and operating!! #nuclear

I don't know about you but I sometimes find it hard to keep track of each innovation happening in the #energy sector. Two things though, made abundantly clear in European politics and based off how the energy landscape has been developing, is that #nuclear and #powergrids will both be crucial, respectively, to reach #netzero goals. Nuclear for its #flexibility as a power source (renewables are of course so important but I still struggle to see an end to intermittency); the power grid for bringing power to where its needed. To find out more about the innovative intersections between these powerhoure topics of the energy transition, I spoke to EDF's Bernard SALHA, the Group's Technical Director, to get his take - make sure to give it a listen below:

First new nuclear in a America for 30 years 🙂🙂🙂 Plant Vogtle Unit 3, America’s first nuclear reactor built entirely from scratch in more than 30 years, is now online and helping to send low carbon electricity to millions of customers in the State of Georgia. The AP1000, 1,100 megawatt output and has a 60-80 (probably 100) year estimated lifespan, it also came in $17 billion over budget and 7 years late, which is great. Would be good to see all nuclear builds getting together for a massive lessons learnt session. Las Vegas anyone??? Small and modular next??? #Synchronouscompensation #solar #nuclear #energy #renewableenergy #solarpower #renewables #solarenergy #solarpv #cleanenergy #nuclearenergy #biomass #nuclearpower #lowcarbon #batterystorage #energytransition #energysector #energymarkets #energystorage #windenergy #netzerocarbon #offshorewind #windpower #cleanenergyfuture #alternativeenergy #sustainableenergy #electrification #hydrogen #climatechange

ɴᴜᴄʟᴇᴀʀ ɴᴏᴛᴇꜱ:🟢 -Nuclear power plants emit near-zero greenhouse gases once operational. This helps in combating climate change, especially when compared to fossil fuel-based energy sources. -With full capacity operation over 92% of the time in 2022, nuclear energy is the most reliable energy source outperforming natural gas and coal by 1.5 to 2 times and wind and solar by 2.5 to 3.5 times.
