“Conference season” is nearly upon us again. As leaders we try our best to not only make it to a number of events across numerous cities and states amid already full schedules, but also determine which conferences, summits, and masterminds will provide the most value. The easiest mistake to make is overloading - better to be fully present at a handful of carefully picked events than blowing in and out of a whirlwind of events such that they all flow together. Intentionality is key. Maintain flexibility within reason. Be okay saying, “Not this year.” Can/should a member of your team attend instead? I have found these reflections incredibly helpful, and even more so as each year passes and there always seems to be a new event to attend! This busy season can be incredibly valuable if done right!
