What's interesting is the breath of sources stating high activity levels in all things related to consumer behaviours, with respect to their commutes and travel patterns. Are we back to our pre-pandemic commuter trends? According to COMMB it may be looking like it. You can check out the report below but I have pulled out my highlights: 1. WFH workers have decreased by 7.5% in the last 12 months down to 12.6%. 2. There has been an increase in both personal (+24.2%) and public (+63.6%) transportation from May 2021 to May 2023 in urban areas like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. 3. Toronto's congestion rank is now 3rd in the world (yikes) meaning higher dwell times for commuters.
