Are you a researcher or a SALY person when it comes to employee benefits? When you are an employee, it is soooo tempting to just say, "I'll do what I did last year" when open enrollment comes around. The packet of information is large, overwhelming and on deadline. And there are always a million other things to do besides read it. And we think to ourselves: what I did last year worked well enough - so let's just go with that. But what if you could take 5-10 minutes and see what is in that PDF? Companies change, benefits change, and people/life situations change. > What worked last year might not be a good fit this year. Maybe your company has two health plans to choose from - and the one in 2023 didn't work out so well. > Maybe they've changed the 401k matching contribution. > Maybe they've changed the eye and dental providers. > Maybe other benefits are better because they want to retain employees. > Maybe they are less generous because the company isn't doing as well as last year.
