We had an excellent time at the March mixer for #Zokit at the Future Inn, Cardiff Bay last Friday. Fantastic turnout, although I didn't get chance to talk to many people as we was busy #filming the mixer, it was great to see everyone in the room enjoying themselves. Alistair Cummings DipPFS Certs Cii(MP ER) and Sian Faire both gave fantastic #talks and I'm in the process of getting these sorted so they can use when they wan't. When I first started #networking, I really didn't know if it was for me, whilst I'm a lovely chap, humans do tend to bug me a little :) but only occasionally lol The other reason for the hesitation is down to having to #refer people, and you might think, well isn't this all part of networking, well, again Yes, but I don't like referring people I don't know... When I say use this person, I am imparting #trust. If the person I refer turns out to be crap, then it looks bad on me and my reputation is then at risk. I don't feel this #pressure with Zokit, it has allowed me to be part of a network of people, without the burden of having to refer. Now when I do refer, it's down natural instinct, because I have formed close #bonds with people, I get to see the #quality of their work, and the #consistency in their message. This is why I have stayed. Look forward to seeing people at the next event For those who weren't able to attend, here is the highlight from the mixer.
