Another milestone reached in the crossing over of regulated entities to the digital assets swimlane. The gap between the two is getting narrower and narrower, slimmer and slimmer. Well done to Societe Generale for leading the way and launching a Euro-backed stablecoin - EURCoinVertible. While stable coins differ from crypto, EURCV is tied to the Euro🇪🇺 currency. This should make it easier to trade and also to use in other financial use cases. With MICA coming into effect in 🥈0🥈4, there is a drive from the 🇪🇺 commission to regulate digital assets. 🏦 The Bank of England announced plans to experiment with distributed ledger technology (DLT) and wholesale central bank digital currencies (wCBDCs) to stay current with payment innovations and assess the impact of financial technology, according to CoinDesk. These experiments aim to ensure smooth interactions between cash, bank deposits, stablecoins, and CBDCs. The Bank will collaborate with the Treasury, Payments Systems Regulator, and the Financial Conduct Authority to maintain the singleness of money, ensuring all forms are interchangeable.
