Another grid-enhancing energy project is officially underway in Texas! 🎉   We just closed financing and started construction on Pine Forest, Clearway’s 300 MW solar and 200 MW storage facility in Hopkins County. Pine Forest will generate enough clean electricity to power over 90,000 homes with reliable, low-cost energy – and the battery energy storage system will dispatch power when demand is high, providing valuable flexibility to the Texas grid. 🏘 🔋   Pine Forest will create 350 construction jobs, contribute millions of dollars of direct investment to the local community, and generate more than $58 million in property taxes over the next 20 years. 🏫 🚓   Thank you to our customers, Dell Technologies and Universal, the Hopkins County community, and our many other partners for teaming up on Pine Forest! 👏 Congrats to the operations and maintenance team at Rattlesnake Flat! 👏   Our 160 MW wind farm in Adams County, Washington, is Clearway’s latest Plant of the Quarter, which recognizes site teams who exemplify an outstanding commitment to safety, continuous improvement, production, cost savings, and community engagement. 🏆   Bravo to Rattlesnake Flat plant manager Joshua Duke and the rest of the team for your ongoing dedication to Clearway’s values and priorities. 🙏

Across America, the demand for clean, affordable electricity is booming. To power our economy and keep the grid reliable, grid planners and operators must plan for and interconnect new generation resources faster than ever before.   We commend Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for convening experts—including Clearway's Christopher Barker, P.E.—on September 10-11th to discuss urgent reforms needed to the interconnection process to meet the moment.
