Two years ago, I found myself struggling with a neurological disorder that brought me to rock bottom and severely impacted my mental health. In my darkest hour, I turned to Maytree Respite Centre, and it proved to be a pivotal moment in my life. Words fail to capture the depth of their services or the transformative experience I had. I can attest that neither money, nor fame, nor power can buy the invaluable support provided by Maytree. They operate on their own eligibility criteria, treating everyone with equal dignity and respect. Now, more than ever, as we confront the escalating mental health challenges amid these uncertain times, the services offered by Maytree are a lifeline for many. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, their doors have temporarily closed, leaving countless individuals without the essential support they need. I am requesting my valuable connections to share this message within your networks and help spread the word. Maytree will be reopening later this year, but until then, your support in raising awareness is critical. For businesses interested in joining Maytree's partnership program as part of your CSR initiatives, please reach out to them at maytree@maytree.org.uk. Additionally, they are now able to receive donations through their CAF page. Here is the link: https://lnkd.in/e9qKWq8t Thank you. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #suicideawareness #welfare #wellbeing #csrinitiatives #employeementalhealth

Today, on International Day of Charity, we celebrate the incredible impact that charitable organizations can have on individuals, families, and communities—especially when it comes to the power of strong social supports. As a charitable organization, we at Coast Mental Health are dedicated to supporting people with mental illness by providing three essential pillars of recovery, including housing, supportive services, and employment and education. These pillars empower our clients with the opportunity to build social connections that ultimately aid them in paving the pathway to a better future. Our CEO, Keir Macdonald, speaks to the importance of social support: "In our work at Coast Mental Health we have long believed that strong social connections and supportive relationships are fundamental to successful recovery. They provide emotional support, reduce feelings of isolation, and offer a sense of belonging and purpose. It's time we recognize as a society the profound impact of human connection and invest in community-building initiatives, mental health services, and policies that foster social integration. By doing so, we can enhance overall well-being and create more resilient, supportive communities.” Join us in honoring this International Day of Charity! Together, we can build stronger, more connected communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. #InternationalDayOfCharity #MentalHealthMatters #CommunityStrong #NonProfit #SocialSupport

💙 We know there are many fundraisers active at the moment for all sorts of causes to help the people in our area, but we'd like to share this one, as well. https://gofund.me/95629a99 ❤️ As you've seen in our previous posts, First Responders have been, and are, under unimaginable stress, and Responder Support Services was literally founded for this exact reason - to walk through the trenches with these individuals, in the moment and the days/months/years after. To make our mission a reality, our clinicians come alongside and help carry the weight that First Responders carry. 🤍 This GoFundMe has been organized to raise funds for a two-day retreat for RSS therapists embedded with first responders and carrying first responder caseloads. These individuals have been heavily burdened in their dual role, supporting the mental health of the broader responder community while coping with their own losses. 🖤 Depending on the amount raised, we would like to continue to offer more of these events for the First Responder Community. Funds raised will pay for ongoing costs: event spaces, staffing, food, and lodging. Thank you for considering supporting this cause and helping us #KeepRespondersResponding You can donate through the link below or by scanning the QR code found in the photo. https://gofund.me/95629a99 #KeepingRespondersResponding #stopthestigma #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #respondersupportservices #firstrespondersfirst #firstresponders #ptsdsupport #ptsdawareness #suicideawarness #suicideprevention #asheville #hendersonville #lawenforcement #firefighters #paramedics #dispatchers #mentalhealthclinicians #mentalhealthclinician #lmhc #correctionsofficer #substanceabuse #compulsivebehaviorsupport #substanceabuseprogram #compulsivebehaviorsprogram
