Just because you do entries every day doesn't mean it will be the same equipment that's required every time. Make sure that your site specific RAMS lead you to the correct equipment with competent workers for the task.
The C&G courses deliver a competent person at the end of them, no matter where you take them. But that doesn't mean that every course provider will be the same or be able to offer all of the variations that would deliver the best structured course that your workforce deserve. The end criteria will be the same at any centre, but the way it's delivered, passion and equipment possibilities will vary from provider to provider. When I established Ashfield Safety Hire back in 1999 it was because I became frustrated that so many Companies viewed the whole safety sector as sales targets and quotas, rather than providing a safe solution to our workforce. I still ensure it's our Company strategy, yes times change and things move on and I'd like to feel that we are as committed now to ensuring end user safety as I was when I set up. That's why we spend so much on testing equipment to prove the equipment we offer will be fit for purpose and try to include this within our training. It helps demonstrate the finer details and often gives a much better view f why to candidates and our own staff. So, if you call for training, hire, sales or servicing, please expect to be asked questions about what you are doing and what your needs are. Don't ever expect to be asked what your budget is, that's irrelevant, the price will be what the RAMS determine, that may be under over or what you've got, but what your given will be what's fit for purpose. We don't look to hit targets, I've never set one, it's to make sure what we are offering is exactly right for your needs, because that's our passion and that's how we grow, by you wanting to use us again and recommending us to others.
Ash Safety, because every life matters.

Whilst all of our training centres in the UK and Ireland offer the full suite of Confined Space Entries offered by the 6160 scheme, our training centres may be able to deliver these courses using some of the specialist equipment you use like davits.
As with all good entries your process should start with a well written RAMS that is site specific and the C&G courses emphasise this throughout. But those RAMS may determine that your entry needs to be made using an A Frame, Davit, Tripod or more specialised entry attachment like Catwalk Davits, Pole Hoists, Y Frames or even Nylon Rope Systems when nothing else suits for a sewage entry, despite current advise being that nylon ropes shouldn't be used for sewage entries because of bacterial contamination. But when done correctly the RAMS will lead you to which ever system is fit for purpose. So, we are always happy to try and offer what ever system is used most frequently by our clients within our C&G courses. Having all of this equipment stocked at our sites also means that we can include almost what ever is needed at very short notice. This does mean that our courses may sometimes run on longer than we expect due to more extensive questions that are raised when we are delivering the training, but we are after all ensuring that we deliver competence and worker safety, not just an invoice.
