What is a sign-on bonus and what you need to know about them before you consider accepting one. A sign-on bonus is: 1. The amount of money you get after you have accepted a job offer 2. Can be used by employers as a financial incentive 3. Relocation assistance 4. Paid in either a one-lump sum or over a series of paychecks 5. May or may not be worth taking #jobseekeradvice #collegetocareer #careertips

Holding out for bonus? Then what? People often tell me they are not happy with their company, boss, or role but want to hang on until bonuses are paid out. Of course, it would be foolish to change before then. Well, it's that time of year, and many of you are waiting to be called into a meeting with your boss, where they tell you a number and you are either excited, meh, or ticked off. What happens after that? Imagine that next year at this time you are fully satisfied in your work, and downright joyful with your life overall. For many people, they want something different but are not sure what that is or how to get there. Having a structure and a companion on the journey creates focus and accountability. That structure helped me move from over 20 years in corporate to starting my own company. It made all the difference. You can do it too. I am happy to share my story. Reach out to chat!

Athlete-preneur, I share my learnings transitioning from an office job to the court // Ex Google & Amazon
Before, I was earning a 6 figures salary, but I was poor inside. Now, I earn almost nothing but I am super rich inside. The 3 main benefits of living from my passion: - The energy I get from doing what I love everyday is truly amazing. - I live with no regrets of trying. (This gives lots of space in my brain) - I surround myself with super inspiring people (#challengeexplorateur) Of course this means I have to reduce my spendings (for now) and the way I used to live. But, I am currently figuring out ways I could financially live from my passion: - Conferences for companies - Online courses - Content creation I want to build a life where I can train as much as I can & be financially stable. I know this is possible. But for now, instead of feeling comfortable in my fancy appartement in NYC, I feel comfortable in my own skin. 💛 If all job would pay the same, what would be yours? ** Fun Fact : This is my favourite ice breaker & for years I have answered ‘’I would be a pro beach volleyball player’’ 🤗

I broke the rules on the 29th of February😱 Let me explain. 👇 My co-worker needed just one flat to sell for bonuses. On the 29th of February, he had a meeting with a client. He called me, and asked if I could agree to terms of sale that were outside our rules. Actually, those were the easiest terms for the client. 😲 Do you know what happened? I just stayed silent for a minute and gave him permission to make that deal. A deal that was outside our rules. Hah! That evening, there was a company meeting to summarize February. I will never forget 🤔 That beautiful, devilish 😈 , happy, and nothing-is-impossible rebel smiles on both of our faces. Sometimes, it is better to break the rules 🤠 because the happiness of employees is more important than any skills to achieve the goal. #realestate #sales #growth #career #motivation

🌏 I recruit the best Development and Delivery professionals for the renewable energy sector in Australia.
One of the most common levers organisations pull to attract top-flight candidates is bonus %. More and more I'm seeing bonuses sitting at 30% - 40%. It's great. Who wouldn't fancy a bit of that? But.......a high "performance-based bonus" is very easy to offer and guarantees very little. So, before jumping at the bonus ask these 3 important questions. 1) What % of bonus has been paid out to employees in the last 2-3 years? 2) What percentage of the bonus is guaranteed (if any)? 3) What percentage of the bonus is based on personal performance Vs. company performance? Bonuses are awesome when you get them but make sure you know the full picture when accepting an offer.
