𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭   Yesterday we published an analysis of the opportunities within the corporate credit market using the High Yield Fair Value Model by FridsonVision LLC (Marty Fridson). While confirming that spreads are trading about +1.3 standard deviations tighter than the norm, we find pockets of value when we analyze the various groups. Within Investment Grade, A-rated, followed by BBB ranks above AAA and AA-rated bonds. Within High Yield, CCC offers better value overall and for those with a “soft-landing” or “no-landing” outlook we would look to Diversified Financial Services, Energy, and Homebuilders.   Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gmRgR6Ti

Corporate credit spreads have tightened across the rating curve, pushing valuations to the top quintile. At the same time, investors are piling on to higher-rated names within corporate credit sub-groups (IG and HY). As a result, we see a few pockets of opportunities depending on whether you are in the "soft landing" or "hard-landing" group. We use measures of duration risk, risk-adjusted returns, and valuations to identify these areas. An added bonus here, as we use Marty Fridson's Fair Value model to identify the best opportunities within the high-yield space.

The range of returns for Multi/family has an upside tail. It is time to pivot towards acquiring assets through controlling equity.

The LightBox Appraisal Index increased 1.8 points in Q2, marking a 6.8% rise in appraisal volume. Despite strong April and May, June saw a 26% drop in awards. As CRE lending remains cautious, appraisers face new challenges.
