Here at Marshall Sylver's Turning Point seminar in Las Vegas, I learned how to chop a board in two with my bare hand. I never thought I could do such a thing!
It actually taught me, and reinforced, a lot about what I do as a mediator. When we mediate, yes, we can move mountains -- or chop boards -- not with brute force, but with strength intelligently applied. As you'll see in the video Liz Ryan took, Marshall taught us the magic -- prepare, then strike at just the right spot, in the center of the board going with the grain, and then follow through.
So in mediation. It doesn't take brute force to settle cases. It takes an intense focus on the right spots, no more power than necessary, and following through to negotiate and settle the case.
I'm learning a lot about success, and about myself, at this seminar. Have you ever had an experience like this?
(Spoiler alert -- tomorrow, we will discuss fire-eating.)

2. Nurtures individual strengths with personalized attention.
3. Focuses on overall growth, beyond just sports.
4. Encourages resilience in facing challenges bravely.
5. Celebrates diversity, fostering an inclusive environment.
6. Champions continuous learning for lifelong development.
7. Empowers youth to advocate for themselves.
